The "6th Defense Industry Meetings" panel, where representatives of the defense industry came together, was held in collaboration with the Istanbul Chamber of Industry and SAHA Istanbul. The panel addressed the topic "A Perspective on the Turkish Defense Industry from Technology, Development, and Cooperation." Our General Manager Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Akyol represented Teknopark Istanbul.
Ahmet Akyol, General Manager of Aselsan, from our affiliated companies, also spoke at the panel. Valuable insights regarding the future of the defense industry were shared by significant representatives of the sector during the panel.
The opening speeches were delivered in order by Erdal Bahçıvan, Chairman of the Board of the Istanbul Chamber of Industry; Murat İkinci, Vice Chairman of SAHA Istanbul; Gökhan Uçar, Vice President of the Defense Industry under the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey; and Ali Çetin Dönmez, Vice President of the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey. The panel speakers, moderated by Dr. İsmail Arı, Director of TTO and Entrepreneurship at Özyeğin University, included: Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yozgatlıgil (Rector of METU), Ahmet Akyol (General Manager of Aselsan) and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Turan Özdemir (General Manager of ASPİLSAN).
