On the first day of the IDEF 2025 International Defense Industry Fair, Teknopark Istanbul, with its technology-focused companies, entrepreneurs, and innovative solutions, hosted 22 official delegations from 100 countries and over 1,400 participating companies.
Our General Manager, Prof. Dr. Abdurrahman Akyol, hosted at our stand Mr. Sadullah Uzun, General Manager of National Technology at the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey; ASELSAN Board Members; Deputy General Manager Mr. Taha Yücel; and senior executives from Turkey's leading defense industry companies. During the meetings, mutual information was shared, and the advanced defense industry products developed by our entrepreneurs were introduced in detail.
The innovative technologies developed by our companies operating within Teknopark Istanbul were highlighted at the fair.
The nano-unmanned helicopter, developed by Uludoğan Defense Industry Technology Inc., is only 25 cm long and can operate even in GPS-free environments and boasts the quietest flight capability in its class. Designed for critical missions such as defense and search and rescue, they were presented to visitors.
Alloy Additive, Türkiye's largest metal parts manufacturer using 3D printing technology, was another company that attracted considerable interest at our booth.
"Proteo," the robot dog developed by Hyperever, which can integrate a thermal camera, carry up to 35 kg, and operate for up to 3.5 hours, attracted visitors' attention. Zeta Defense products, entirely domestically designed and produced, capable of listening to thousands of radio frequencies simultaneously and in use in the field for over 10 years, were also examined with interest.
Quark Optical, which develops devices that can detect the slightest sounds and vibrations under debris, which are especially vital during natural disasters, and can also be used in areas such as mining and metro construction, Electra IC, which also stands out with its 8-frequency division multiplexing system, specifically designed for the defense industry, and EDGE Microwave, which provides reliable solutions in RF and microwave technologies, met with professional visitors at the fair. The first day of IDEF 2025 served as a strategically important meeting point where Teknopark Istanbul, with its robust defense industry ecosystem, contributed to the domestic and national technology initiative. Our entrepreneurs' advanced technology-based solutions attracted considerable attention during the meetings, which opened doors to international collaborations.
We welcome all stakeholders shaping high technology to our stand throughout IDEF 2025.
